I’m the oldest of three children, a product of parental divorce, the opposite of religious, a former fat chick, an expat.

How else does a person define oneself?  I try to call a spade a spade, I try to be patient, I try to use my logic, I try to be supportive, I try to be honest, I try not to hold grudges, I try to be the best person I can be. Sometimes I succeed, often times I don’t;  that’s life, right?   I’m not really interested in marriage and kids and so far I’m succeeding;  I want to travel and see the world and I’m very much lagging in fulfilling that goal.

I was born in the San Francisco Bay Area and am now living in Nafplio, Greece.  My roommate is my younger brother and for 4 months out of the year we are “lucky” enough to have our mother as the third roommate — or the third wheel.  You can’t really define her as the third wheel though since it’s her house we’re living in — welcome to independent living in Greece! (Yes, we are the norm here, so I don’t feel too bad about it.)  My younger sister – newly married and pregnant – lives close by but both my parents still live in the SF Bay Area.

Although my life is now rooted on Greek soil, my brain is still wired to think in English. Also it is wired to vent, b*tch, and share in English.   Hopefully what I have to share will amuse you, interest you, or at the very least make you thank the Heavens that your mind isn’t as twisted as mine.  And if you feel inclined to do so, please comment!  I love comments! 🙂

  1. Volua, love hearing about your life. You may not think so, but it’s pretty exciting and unique. Also, good job on the theme design. It’s about time you upgraded!
